Lachelle Metcalf is the Advisor for Scholar Engagement USA at Herrendorf Family Foundation. A mission-driven, compassionate and visionary leader, Lachelle has enthusiastically supported students, families and educators within nonprofit, government and education sectors for nearly 20 years. From community engagement and special education advocacy to event planning and marketing/communications, Lachelle has dedicated her life’s work to helping and inspiring others. Lachelle received her BA from Hampton University (Hampton, VA) and MA from Catholic University of America (Washington, DC). She also completed Master’s level coursework in School Counseling at Mercer University. Lachelle is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) School Site Council. She also serves as a volunteer consultant with The Acceleration Project, providing guidance and resources to under-resourced small businesses, particularly those owned by women and People of Color. Lachelle currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband and children.
