CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

Granville Island

Granville Island is a vibrant cultural and culinary destination located in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It’s home to a thriving artistic community, with working studios, artisan shops, and galleries and you’ll even catch artists at work—glassblowers, potters, printmakers, and more.  The Granville Island Public Market is the beating heart of the area and is packed with gourmet cheeses, specialty foods and artisan baked goods. You’ll also find  boutiques offering handcrafted jewelry, Indigenous art, home decor  and more.  Take in the beautiful views of the city skyline, marinas and boats in False Creek while street performers and musicians add a fun, lively atmosphere.

Dragon Boating

Dragon boating is one of the world’s oldest team building activities that originated in China over 2,000 years ago. Modern dragon boats are long, narrow, canoe-like vessels that seat 20 paddlers in pairs, plus a drummer at the front and a steer at the back.  The rhythmic beating of the drum keeps everyone paddling in sync—it’s all about timing and teamwork, not just strength.

The main hub for dragon boating is False Creek, right in the heart of the city. It's a calm, sheltered body of water surrounded by the skyline, Science World, Granville Island and the seawall.  Views include: cityscape, marinas, parkland and sometimes seals or herons if you're lucky!  Explore Vancouver while embarking on an unforgettable adventure.

Grouse Mountain Resorts

Grouse Mountain Resort, known as "The Peak of Vancouver," is a premier year-round destination located just 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Offering a blend of outdoor adventures, wildlife encounters, and dining experiences, it caters to visitors of all ages and interests.

We will ascend the mountain in the Skyride - an iconic aerial tramway that transports visitors from the base to the mountaintop, offering spectacular views during the ascent.  Our first group activity will be a First Nations Experience in the híwus Feasthous.  We’ll step into an authentic Pacific Northwest Longhouse and let the Squamish First Nations Elder take us back in time to discover the traditional way of life of our First Nations people. We will finish the presentation by being guided by the Squamish elder to paint traditional First Nations symbols on a cedar plank.

After enjoying a delicious BBQ lunch and taking in the breathtaking views from the chalet, everyone has the option to take in activities such as the Lumberjack Show, grizzly bear habitat, Birds in Motion, Theatre in the Sky and ranger talks at their own leisure for the remainder of the afternoon.

Pacific Yacht Charters - Sunset Harbour Boat Cruise

We will celebrate our last night together aboard a 105-foot, three-level yacht moored steps away from our hotel. The yacht features an elegant lounge, a dining salon and an open-air Sky Deck offering 360-degree views of Vancouver's skyline and surrounding waters.  We will enjoy Pacific Northwest cuisine while watching the spectacular sunset, then dance the night away under the stars on the Sky Deck.
